Goals from Javier Espinosa and Thomas Teye have helped Almeria pick up all three points in their 3-0 victory over Granada.
The defeat means Granada have now conceded 12 times in two matches, with the bulk of those goals coming in their thrashing at the hands of Real Madrid in midweek.
The home side started brightly, as they looked to play on the low confidence levels of the Granada players, with Espinosa causing problems in and outside of the box.
Almeria began to dominate in possession, stringing a number of passes together before working their way to the Granada net. The home side were rewarded for their play on the stroke of half time as Angel Trujillo slipped a ball through to Teye, who finished simply from close range.
Granada emerged from the break revitalised, as Robert Ibanez used some tricky footwork to beat his defenders and got his low shot away, only to be denied by Ruben in the Almeria net.
However, as the visitors looked for the equaliser, it was the hosts that doubled their lead through Espinosa, as the Spaniard latched onto a Sebastian Dubarbier's cross and struck the ball into the bottom left-hand corner.
Riki tried to respond for the away side after he received a pass inside the box but his shot on goal was blocked at point-blank range.
Teye completed the comfortable victory two minutes from time by pouncing onto a rebounded shot to score his second and Almeria's third of the match.
The result puts Almeria in 15th and just a point above the relegation zone, while Granada sit second bottom, four points from safety.
