AC Ajaccio climbed out of the Ligue 1 bottom three after playing out a 0-0 draw with Nancy at Stade François Coty this afternoon.

The hosts wasted early opportunities as both Jean Baptiste Pierazzi and Johan Cavalli sent decent headed chances off target.

Frederic Sammaritano also could have broken the deadlock in the opening 45 minutes but sent his shot wide of Guy Ndy's goal.

Brazilian striker Eduardo was forced off with a first-half injury for Ajaccio and his replacement Ilan nearly put his side ahead immedaitely but Ndy was on hand to save.

Yohan Molo had the visitors best chance but was denied by Guillermo Ochoa as the game petered out in the second period.

Ajaccio are a point clear of Sochaux and Brest in 17th place while Nancy remain in 11th position.
