Dunfermline Athletic have consolidated second position in the Scottish League One table with a 3-0 win over basement side Airdrieonians.
The away team led after 17 minutes courtesy of a smart finish from Shaun Byrne, before Airdrie were reduced to 10 men when goalkeeper Andrew Duncan was handed his marching orders.
Dunfermline's second came 20 minutes from time when Allan Smith netted from close range, before Craig Dargo made it 3-0 late on.
The result means that Airdrie remain four points from safety after 13 matches played.
Ayr United, meanwhile, missed the chance to move into third as they drew 1-1 at Brechin City, with Andy Jackson cancelling out Anthony Marenghi's first-half strike for the visitors.
Stranraer picked up their sixth league win of the season with a 2-1 win over East Fife. The match was level at 1-1 entering the final minute, but Steven Bell's late strike secured all the points.
Meanwhile, Stenhousemuir moved into third position in the table courtesy of a 3-2 win over Arbroath.
Sean Lynch, Eddie Malone and Errol Douglas were on the scoresheet for the home side, with Michael Travis and Lee Erwin netting for Arbroath.
