Crystal Palace record narrow win at AFC Wimbledon

Crystal Palace continue their preparations for the new Premier League season with a 3-2 win over League One side AFC Wimbledon.

Crystal Palace continued their preparations for the new Premier League season with a 3-2 win over League One side AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday night.

The Eagles, who recorded a 1-0 win over Colchester United on Monday night, are now just three friendlies away from their 2016-17 Premier League opener against West Bromwich Albion on August 13.

Palace took the lead in the 28th minute when Connor Wickham headed a Zeki Fryers cross into the back of the net, but Wimbledon levelled 10 minutes later as Lyle Taylor finished from close range.

Alan Pardew's side regained the lead in the 67th minute when Yannick Bolasie prodded a Freddie Ladapo pass into the back of the net, before Ladapo headed home from close range for 3-1 nine minutes later.

Wimbledon pulled one back in the 77th minute when a mix-up between Pape Souare and Julian Speroni saw the former nod past his own goalkeeper into the back of the net, but the Premier League side held on to continue their unbeaten run in pre-season.
