Half-Time Report: Accrington Stanley cruising against Morecambe

Accrington Stanley lead Morecambe 2-0 in their League Two match at the Crown Ground.

Accrington Stanley are leading 2-0 after the first half of their League Two match against Morecambe at the Crown Ground this evening.

The home side took the lead in the fifth minute when Lee Molyneux latched on to James Gray's pass and chipped the ball into the net past the onrushing keeper.

They were given the chance to score a second six minutes later following Kevin Ellison's foul inside the box on Luke Joyce.

Kal Naismith stepped up to take the spot kick and placed it into the bottom corner, with Barry Roche diving the wrong way.

Accrington continued to dominate and Gray saw his long-range effort tipped around the post, before Will Hatfield saw his strike from inside the box held by the keeper, as the home side went into the break ahead.
