AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri believes that Mario Balotelli is similar to former Rossoneri frontman Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has said that Mario Balotelli is a similar player to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Balotelli has scored seven goals in six appearances for Milan since moving from Manchester City in January.

The Italy international's form has led Allegri to compare the frontman to former Milan striker Ibrahimovic.

"He's similar to Ibrahimovic both physically and technically, but he can get better because he's playing with continuity here," Goal.com quotes Allegri as saying.

"Balotelli still has to improve a lot as a centre-forward given his potential, but he has all the right ingredients to do it."

Balotelli is expected to feature when Milan face Chievo on Saturday.
