Half-Time Report: Ten-man AC Milan lead at the break

AC Milan take a 1-0 lead in at half time against Torino but see Cristian Zaccardo sent off in the closing stages of the first 45 minutes.

AC Milan have taken a 1-0 lead in at half time against Torino in Serie A this evening as they look to end their disappointing season at the San Siro on a high.

Milan took the lead on 18 minutes when Stephan El Shaarawy controlled Cristian Zaccardo's cross before finishing with aplomb.

Keisuke Honda was fortunate to escape a sending-off before the half-hour mark when he caught Cristian Molinaro with a flailing arm having already picked up a booking.

Torino almost restored parity on 32 minutes when Amauri flicked the ball into the path of Josef Martinez, but the Venezuelan could only fire just wide of the post.

Honda came closest to extending the lead shortly before the break, but his free kick was held by Torino keeper Daniele Padelli.

However, indiscipline struck once again for Milan, who had two men sent off against Sassuolo last week, and Zaccardo was given his marching orders for cynically bringing down Martinez, who was clean through on goal.
