Aberdeen and Hibernian played out a goalless draw at the Pittodrie Stadium in the Scottish Premier League this afternoon.
Aberdeen had a chance to take the lead after just 10 minutes, when Johnny Hayes was fouled in the penalty area by Tim Clancy, but Niall McGinn's spot kick was saved by Ben Williams in the Hibs goal.
The home side continued to look the more likely to score of the two sides, Peter Pawlett heading over the crossbar before McGinn sent a close-range effort wide.
Leigh Griffiths created a few chances for the visitors in the first half, but Jamie Langfield was rarely troubled.
The Dons started the second half well, Pawlett continuing to cause problems for Hibernian's back four.
McGinn and Joe Shaughnessy both forced further saves from Williams, but were unable to get the better of the Hibs goalkeeper.
The result leaves Hibernian in fourth and Aberdeen in fifth in the SPL table.
