Hibernian travel to Pittodrie on Friday.

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes expects an entertaining game against Hibernian at Pittodrie on Friday night as the Dons look to continue on the winning trail.

The Granite City side are looking to make it three Ladbrokes Premiership wins in a row following their Betfred Cup semi-final win over Rangers.

McInnes expects Neil Lennon's team to play their part in an open encounter but is determined to stay on the winning trail.

He told RedTV: "I am pleased with the recent results. Three wins going into the game helps us and a full squad more or less to choose from helps us, while recognising the strength of the Hibs team.

"They are a very strong side, similar to ourselves in that this summer they had to make a lot of adjustments.

"The game will be about two very good teams, a lot of good players on show and both teams won't be happy unless they get the win which should make the game a bit more open, hopefully a bit more entertaining.

"But hopefully we score at least one more goal than Hibs and get all three points which is the objective when we play any game.

"We go into the game in decent form, well aware we are still searching for our best form over 90 minutes but knowing that we have got players who can be part of a winning performance against Hibs tomorrow night."

Lennon was struck with a coin in his last away match, a goalless draw against Edinburgh rivals Hearts at Tynecastle but McInnes envisages no such problems at Pittodrie.

He said: "I don't think you can ever get too complacent with that but we have never really had any problems here.

"The vast majority of supporters, if not all, turn up wanting to enjoy the game and take part in the atmosphere and rivalry but just want to see their team win.

"Unfortunately sometimes that can overspill. Idiots can get carried away with themselves.

"There is an element of support at times who feels they can say or do anything they want at an official, player or manager, that is not going to change.

"It is disappointing but from our point of view I have such a high regard for Neil and his team and what they do and I think everybody here is just looking forward to coming along and seeing us take on a very good side."

Meanwhile, the Pittodrie club have confirmed that an initial allocation of 18,000 from a possible 20,000 tickets for the Betfred Cup Final has now sold out.
