Fencer Ivan Trevejo has won gold for France in this evening's individual epee after beating Russia's Sergey Khodos in the final.

Havana-born Trevejo, 43, beat his 28-year-old counterpart 15-8 in tonight's showpiece to pick up another major medal, having won silver for Cuba at the 1996 Olympics.

Norway's Bartosz Piasecki and Frenchman Daniel Jerent scooped bronze, following their respective semi-final defeats.
