I'm A Celebrity campmates 'to compete for Welsh lamb rather than kangaroo'

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! producers change up the food menu for celebrities taking part in this year's series following the show's move from Australia to Wales.

Producers on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! have reportedly adapted the food on offer to this year's celebrities to match the show's new location.

Gwrych Castle on the North Coast of Wales will host this year's show when it begins in two weeks' time, with the Australian jungle - home to the ITV reality series for the last 18 years - out of reach due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Celebrities are normally provided with a set of basic food rations to keep them going, and according to the Daily Mail, the cannellini beans have been switched out for haricot beans - the basis of British staple baked beans.

Luxury proteins won through the daily bush tucker trials typically include kangaroo, alligator and wallaby but the newspaper says that celebrities will instead be competing for world-famous Welsh lamb.

ITV is said to have significantly trimmed down the number of production staff working on site and will house most of the crew in mobile homes at a nearby farm.

Senior executives will stay at a local hotel, while hosts Ant and Dec are thought to be lodging at privately-rented cottages in the area.

The new series begins on Sunday, November 15 on ITV.
