Pop legend Jason Donovan has been named as contestant number five on the next series of Dancing On Ice.
ITV is in the process of revealing the 12 celebrities in the lineup for the new series, with Emmerdale's Joe-Warren Plant, musician Myleene Klass, TV presenter Denise van Outen and former Coronation Street star Faye Brookes all previously announced.
Donovan, 52, made his name in the late 1980s starring on Neighbours opposite Kylie Minogue, with both going on to launch successful careers in the music industry.
Appearing on This Morning today, Donovan told DOI hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: "I've always been a big fan of winter sports, whether it's ski-ing, skating, snowboarding...apres ski-ing.
"My daughter Molly is very excited about me doing shapes on the dancefloor or maybe not...depending on how it goes! And also the opportunity to spend a Sunday night with you guys.
"Skating is all about balance and confidence. I've done a little bit of skating in my youth in Australia, surprisingly in the heat of an Australian summer.
"I've surfed, I've skied a lot so I guess I'll bring a little bit of that confidence."
The new series begins on ITV in January.
