Emmerdale actor Joe-Warren Plant is confirmed as the second celebrity in the lineup for next year's Dancing On Ice.

Emmerdale star Joe-Warren Plant has been revealed as the second celebrity in the lineup for next year's Dancing On Ice.

The 18-year-old, who plays Jacob Gallagher on the ITV soap, has been granted extended time off by producers to enable him to fully focus on the competition.

Appearing on This Morning today, Plant revealed that Jacob will leave the Dales for six months in a storyline that will see him join his mother in Portugal and take a job working on a boat.

In all 12 celebrities will don their skates for the new series of DOI, with musician and presenter Myleene Klass the only other confirmed participant to date.

Other names rumoured to be taking part include Capital FM DJ Sonny Jay, rapper Lady Leshurr, former footballer Wayne Bridge and ex-TOWIE star Billie Faiers.

The new series begins on ITV in January.
