Alesha Dixon hits back over Britain's Got Talent complaints

Alesha Dixon invites viewers troubled by Diversity's performance on Britain's Got Talent to 'kiss her black ass'.

Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon has invited unhappy viewers to 'kiss her black ass' following last week's show.

The first of this year's semi-finals featured a stirring performance from Ashley Banjo and his dance troupe Diversity, who paid homage to the Black Lives Matter movement and referenced the death of George Floyd in a routine lasting several minutes.

More than 10,000 viewers have now complained to TV regulator Ofcom about the performance, however, with some taking to Twitter to criticise the group for making a political statement on the entertainment show.

Referring to the critics, Dixon commented on Banjo's social media: "They can kiss my black ass."

Fellow judge Amanda Holden signalled her support by replying with a heart emoji.

The second of the semi-finals airs Saturday night on ITV.
