The pair, who also finished third last week in Russia, ran a close race with Malaysia's competing duo and ultimately lost out on silver by just three points.

Barrow and Couch's final total of 311.88, which included a high of 73.92 for their back 2-1/2 somersault with 1-1/2 twists pike, was just shy of Cheong Jun Hoong and Leong Mun Yee's overall score of 314.94.

Gold went the way of Chinese pair Chen Ruolin and Liu Huixia, who scored 332.88 to notch up their fourth victory in the four meetings of the series so far.
