Raymond van Barneveld has been knocked out of the World Grand Prix at the second-round stage after losing to Mervyn King.
The Dutchman took the opening two legs of the match but King stormed back with six of his own to move one set away from the quarter-finals.
Van Barneveld found his best form to take set three but the five-time world champion, seemingly hampered by a back problem, folded in the fourth to allow King to secure a comfortable victory.
King will now face Michael van Gerwen in the last eight after the world number one held off a strong performance from Dean Winstanley to run out a 3-1 victor.
Thursday night's play started with Stephen Bunting overturning a 2-1 deficit to defeat Peter Wright in five sets, with a 130 checkout confirming his success late in the deciding set.
Last year's Lakeside champion will now play Richie Burnett after the Welshman beat Terry Jenkins by a 3-1 scoreline.
