Phil Taylor has suffered his second successive defeat at the start of the 2014 Premier League campaign after losing 7-3 to Adrian Lewis.
The 16-time world champion, who was whitewashed 7-0 by Michael van Gerwen last week, quickly fell 5-0 behind, and although he rallied to reduce the deficit to 6-3, Lewis sealed victory to move to the top of the table.
He is joined on four points by Van Gerwen, who shared the first eight legs with Scotland's Robert Thornton before eventually sealing a 7-5 success.
Wes Newton produced the surprise of the night by winning the final four legs to secure a 7-5 triumph over Raymond van Barneveld.
Gary Anderson produced a dominant performance to beat Simon Whitlock 7-2, while Dave Chisnall took five of the last six legs to earn a 6-6 draw with Peter Wright.
