Cristo Reyes has continued his fairytale run at the PDC World Championship after producing a stunning comeback to defeat Kevin Painter 4-3 at the Alexandra Palace.
The Spanish thrower beat Wes Newton in a final-leg shootout on the opening day of the tournament but it appeared as though we would exit the competition at the last-32 stage after Painter moved into a 3-1 lead.
However, Reyes took the next two sets in the final leg before he dominated the decider to close out the contest with a 72 checkout and advance through to a last-16 showdown with Gary Anderson.
Kim Huybrechts has set up a possible clash with Phil Taylor after holding off the challenge of Ian White to prevail 4-3 against the number 15 seed.
However, there was better news for fellow Stoke-on-Trent thrower Andy Hamilton, who reeled off the final three sets to beat Australia's Kyle Anderson by a 4-2 scoreline.
