Michael van Gerwen has admitted that he will have to be at the top of his game if he is to see off fellow Dutchman Raymond van Barneveld tonight.
Van Gerwen, who won his first World Championship title crown last month, collides with Van Barneveld in Glasgow.
"It's always an exciting time for me when I play Raymond," the 24-year-old is quoted as saying by pdc-darts.co.uk. "Like everyone in Holland, I have a lot of respect for what he has achieved in the game and he has already shown in the Premier League what he is capable of.
"I'm feeling great about my game at the moment but I know I'm going to have to produce another strong display if I'm going to beat Raymond."
'Mighty Mike' is in strong form going into the clash following victories over Phil Taylor, Robert Thornton and Dave Chisnall in the opening three rounds of matches.
