Colin Osborne replaces Edward Santos at World Championship

World number 35 Colin Osborne replaces Philippines qualifier Edward Santos at the PDC World Championship, which starts at the Alexandra Palace on Friday night.

Colin Osborne has been drafted into the PDC World Championship as a late replacement for Philippines qualifier Edward Santos.

Santos was due to make his debut at the Alexandra Palace, but he has been forced to withdraw from the 21st staging of the tournament due to travel problems.

As the highest non-qualified player in the PDC Order of Merit, Osborne has been handed the vacant spot to make his eighth successive appearance in the competition.

The former UK Open runner-up will face Denmark's Dennis Lindskjold in the preliminary round on December 15, with the winner progressing to face Brendan Dolan in the main draw.
