Rafal Majka claims second Tour de France stage win

Rafal Majka holds off the challenges of Giovanni Visconti and Vincenzo Nibali to win stage 16 of the Tour de France.

Rafal Majka has won his second stage of this year's Tour de France by clinching stage 16 from Saint-Gaudens to Saint-Lary Pla d'Adet.

The Team Tinkoff-Saxo rider looked assured on the four climbs during the 124.5km race before holding off challenges from Movistar's Giovanni Visconti and Astana's Vincenzo Nibali.

Nibali's third-place finish has seen the Italian extend his overall lead to 5:28.

Jean-Christophe Peraud of Ag2r-La Mondiale secured fourth spot, while Cannondale's Alessandro De Marchi ended the stage in fifth position, 49s behind Majka.
