Great Britain's Paralympic handcyclist Rachel Morris has insisted that she will take teammate Karen Darke with her on the podium to collect her bronze medal after the pair crossed the finish line together.

The Brits finished hand in hand in third place in the women's individual H1-3 road race but the medal has been awarded to Morris, who had an accident weeks before the London Games, over her compatriot.

"I've not had the best lead in to this Games so this bronze medal means more than gold. It just means everything, actually," Morris told Channel 4. "We worked so hard together today, so we'll both get on the podium together."

United States pair Marianna Davis and Monica Bascio picked up the gold and silver medals respectively.
