British Cycling's Paralympic endurance coach Tom Stanton is confident that Rachel Morris will be able to put in a strong performance in the women's individual H 1-3 road race.

The 33-year-old will take to the start line at Brands Hatch today after recovering from an injury blow, which she suffered when getting hit by a car in July.

"She's a strong girl, she's been recovering well, working hard with our physiologist and really making sure that in the short time she's had to recover she's really made the most of it," Wales Online quotes Stanton as saying. "Fingers crossed she can really put a performance in that's worthy of her."

Morris won a hand-cycling time trial gold medal at the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing.
