Former Tour de France winner Jan Ullrich has been banned for two years by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on doping offences.
The German cyclist has been found guilty of doping in 2006 following an earlier offence in 2002, which resulted in a six-month ban for using amphetamines.
This news comes days after Alberto Contador was suspended for two years and stripped of his 2012 Tour de France victory after being tested positive for clenbuterol 24 months ago.
Ullrich claimed the French title in 1997 and came close five times in his career but was denied on a number of occasions by seven-time Tour champion Lance Armstrong.
