Lance Armstrong has been sued by a company that paid him around $12m (£7.6m) in prize money for three of his Tour de France wins.
SCA Promotions Inc is claiming that the disgraced cyclist defrauded them by lying about his use of performance-enhancing drugs, Reuters reports.
"Lance Armstrong cheated to win all of his Tour de France victories," SCA chief executive officer Robert Hamman said in a statement. "He has admitted as much on national TV.
"As a result of Lance Armstrong's unjustly achieved victories and related activities, SCA paid $12,120,000 to Tailwind Sports Inc. SCA also suffered reputational damage and substantial loss of business."
Armstrong was banned from professional cycling for life and stripped of race titles, including all seven of his Tour de France victories, after admitting to doping.
The 41-year-old made his confession during a televised interview with Oprah Winfrey last month.
