Australia's Stephanie Morton has spoken of her delight at having recorded a personal best to claim silver in the 500m time trial final at the Commonwealth Games.
Morton edged out England's Jess Varnish in her heat to claim the silver, only missing out on the gold medal to compatriot Anna Meares, whom she later dubbed the "queen of track cycling".
Her time of 34.079s was the fastest that she has ever managed in a competitive race, and she was delighted with her overall performance at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
When asked whether she was happy with her time, Morton told reporters: "Yeah definitely, that's a PB for me. I couldn't do much more than that today.
"That was always the goal, to bust out a PB. If that got me on the podium then great but if not then I would have been happy, so the fact that it has got me on the podium - I'm stoked."
Varnish went on to finish third in the event, picking up the bronze medal for England.
