Adam Lyth, Alex Lees recognised at Professional Cricketers' Association Awards

Adam Lyth and Alex Lees are handed the two biggest honours at the Professional Cricketers' Association Awards.

Adam Lyth and Alex Lees have continued a successful week by collecting the two top honours at the Professional Cricketers' Association Awards on Wednesday evening.

Yorkshire's opening batsmen, who were also celebrated at the Cricket Writers' Club Awards earlier this week, played a key role in helping the team claim the County Championship title this season.

Their efforts have been recognised once again, with Lyth taking the Player of the Year award and Lees collecting the Young Player of the Year honour in London.

"It's definitely up there, to be voted for an award by my peers, it's fantastic," Lees told members of the media. "I'm only 21 so there hasn't been that much that's gone on so far, but this crowns a perfect year really."

Lees and Lyth combined for 2,460 runs in the County Championship in Yorkshire's triumphant campaign.
