West Indies recorded their highest ever limited-overs total to smash New Zealand by 203 runs and level their one-day international series 2-2 in Hamilton.
Kirk Edwards and Dwayne Bravo both hit centuries as the West Indies reached 363-4 on to take firm control in the fifth ODI, before Nikita Miller dominated with the ball to skittle New Zealand all out for 160. The total was the highest ever posted by the Windies in a 50-over match, eclipsing their previous record of 360 set against Sri Lanka back in 1987.
Kieran Powell scored an impressive 73 runs from just 44 balls for the Windies, who had lost the toss and been put in to bat to start the day.
Powell got off to a rampaging start, reaching his half century from 28 balls in 30 minutes, before Edwards earned his first one-day century and shared a partnership of 211 with Bravo for the fourth wicket.
However, Bravo was caught out by Brendon McCullum off the bowling of Kane Williamson for 106 with just one over remaining until the end of the innings. Meanwhile, Edwards remained unbeaten on 123 at the close in his 11th one-day international.
Powell was bowled lbw by McCullum, while Johnson Charles was run out in an innings that saw Edwards hit 12 fours and four sixes, with Bravo smashing 12 fours and three sixes.
The West Indies reached 300 after only 43.4 overs against a helpless New Zealand attack, and closed on a strong innings total.
The Black Caps made a horrendous start, as they chased a target of 239, slumping to 65 for five after just 15 overs following a combination of rash shots and a rampant West Indian attack.
Martin Guptill fell to an lbw for six runs, while Jesse Ryder (17) was caught after scooping the ball skyward going for a slog.
McCullum failed to steady the ship after the early onslaught and presented Charles with a simple catch when he charged down the wicket to a seemingly innocuous bowl by Miller.
Luke Ronchi dislodged the bails with his foot for 15 as he squared up for a shot, as Miller finished with figures of four for 45.
The first Twenty20 international gets underway in Auckland on Saturday between the two sides.
