New Zealand need 140 runs against the West Indies to stand any chance of reaching the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.

The West Indies have set New Zealand a victory target of 140 runs to qualify for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.

Chris Gayle looked to have put the Windies in a commanding position when his quickfire 30 from just 14 balls left his nation on 61-2 with a little over six overs played.

However, Gayle was then caught by Brendan McCullum off the bowling of Tim Southee just one ball later, sparking a collapse from the Windies.

They were eventually dismissed for 140 runs with three balls to spare.

The Kiwis now require seven runs an over to advance through to the final four of the competition.
