Luke Wright has signed a new contract which will keep him at Sussex until the end of the 2018 season.
In his 10th year at Hove, the England all-rounder scored 933 first-class runs during the 2014 campaign and a further 893 in white-ball cricket competitions.
Sussex cricket manager Mark Robinson is delighted that his county have managed to tie down "one of the leading one-day an T20 players in the world" who is developing into a fine player in the longer format also.
"Luke has been in outstanding form for a period of time now," Robinson told reporters. "For him to commit himself for the next four years is great news.
"He has long been seen as one of the leading one-day and T20 players in the world, but he has really come into his own in red-ball cricket in recent times as he matures into a more complete player."
Wright, 29, has played 101 limited-overs matches for England, but none since the T20 defeat to West Indies in March.
