South Africa have beaten India 1-0 in their two-match Test series thanks to a 10-wicket victory in Durban over their nearest rivals at the top of the ICC rankings.
After the first Test between the pair was drawn in dramatic fashion last week in Johannesburrg, the hosts comfortably secured victory on day five of the second match despite delays on days one and two.
The Proteas had established a first-innings lead of 166, largely thanks to Jacque Kallis's century in his final Test match, before bowling India out for just 223 in the second innings, leaving themselves with a victory target of just 58.
Captain Graeme Smith (27*) and Alviro Petersen (31*) eased to that target within 12 overs, each hitting a six for good measure as South Africa wrapped up victory before tea.
