A poor batting display saw the Sydney Sixers lose their 100% Big Bash League record as the Perth Scorchers cruised to a 36-run victory on Monday.
The Scorchers, who won the toss and chose to bat, got off to a quick start with openers Marcus Harris (36) and Michael Klinger (16), but once Klinger lost his wicket at the end of the fourth over the run rate started to slow.
Harris's quickfire 36 off 26 balls was as good as it got for Perth, who finished their 20 overs on 135-7, a total that the Sixers would have been confident of chasing down given the 180 that they scored two days before.
However, they got off to a slow start and despite decent middle-order knocks from Riki Wessels (28) and Moises Henriques (23), none of the tail got into double figures.
The Scorchers bowled them out for 99 with two-and-a-half overs to spare to improve their record to two wins and a loss.
