Perth Scorchers have reached the final of the Big Bash League following a five-run win over Sydney Sixers in a rain-affected semi-final at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
The Scorchers, who will face Hobart Hurricanes in the final, posted a score of 193-5 from their 20 overs before the Sixers made 48-6 when trying to chase a revised target of 54 from five overs.
Craig Simmons hit an impressive 112 for the hosts, while Simon Katich (26) and Adam Voges (31) also made significant contributions at the crease.
Mitchell Starc, Brett Lee and Josh Hazlewood were among the wicket-takers for Perth.
Sydney's run chase got off to a bad start as Michael Lumb was dismissed for one before Ravi Bopara went for a golden duck.
Nic Maddinson's knock of 35 gave the Sixers some hope, but they failed to get the six runs needed off the final ball to go through.
