Melbourne Stars have lost their unbeaten record in this season's Big Bash League with a shock semi-final defeat at home to Hobart Hurricanes.
The Stars put themselves into bat first and made 141-8, before the Hurricanes reached their target of 142 for the loss of three wickets and with two overs remaining.
Brad Hodge top-scored for Melbourne thanks to an knock of 51, while David Hussey added 24 as the hosts struggled at the crease.
Luke Wright (13) and Glenn Maxwell (12) were the only other Melbourne batsmen who got into double figures.
Cameron Boyce ended with bowling figures of 3-11 for Hobart, with Dimitri Mascarenhas, Shoaib Malik, Doug Bollinger and Ben Laughlin taking the remaining wickets.
Tim Paine (65), Ben Dunk (30) and George Bailey (32 not out) did most of the damage at the crease for the Hurricanes, who will face either Sydney Sixers or Perth Scorchers in the final.
