Australia fail to trouble Pakistan in opening session of second Test

Ahmes Shezhad is the first to fall for Pakistan as they clock up an early 82-1 lead over Australia in Abu Dhabi.

Pakistan have picked up from where they left off against Australia by heading into lunch on day one of the second Test at 82-1.

Naming an unchanged side following the 221-run victory last week, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat in Abu Dhabi.

Nathan Lyon grabbed a breakthrough for Australia, trapping Ahmed Shezhad plumb in front for 35 runs, although Mohammad Hafeez (36 not out) and Azhar Ali (11 not out) made light work of the opposition bowlers.

The Green Shirts are playing their fifth Test at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, where they currently remain unbeaten.
