Pakistan fight back to decrease deficit against Sri Lanka on day three

Pakistan reduce the 177-run deficit created by Sri Lanka at the close of play on day three of the second Test in Colombo.

Pakistan have reduced the 177-run deficit created by Sri Lanka to just six runs, at the close of play on day three of the second Test in Colombo.

The Men in Green only dropped one more wicket after lunch, with Ahmed Shehzad (69) caught off the bowling of Dhammika Prasad.

The tourists are now only a handful of runs behind Sri Lanka, after Shehzad's fine batting performance and Azhar Ali's unbeaten 64 got Pakistan back on track.

Younis Khan - who claimed Sri Lanka's last wicket earlier in the day - is not out on 23, giving Pakistan a solid platform to build from for the start of day four.
