Derbyshire coach Karl Krikken has hailed his side's "magnificent" achievement after they won the County Championship Division Two title on Friday.
The Falcons, who had already sealed their promotion on Thursday, clinched their first piece of silverware since 1993 thanks to a six-wicket victory over Hampshire at the County Ground.
"We won a few things in the early '90s but to actually win the Championship is magnificent," Krikken told Sky Sports News.
"Obviously I'm not playing now but the lads have been absolutely marvellous, absolutely superb this season and to actually go to this last game and win this one - we absolutely deserve it."
Krikken called time on his 16-year playing career with Derbyshire in 2003.
