Batsman James Cameron ends his career as a cricketer to move into "financial services".

Worcestershire's James Cameron has decided to call time on his county cricket career.

The 26-year-old, who signed on at New Road in 2010, has decided to move into a new career within "financial services".

"I have decided to retire from county cricket to pursue a career in financial services," he said. "It has been an extremely difficult decision but, after much discussion with both family and close friends, I feel that it is in my best long-term interests.

"I am sad to be leaving cricket and Worcester, as I have made many friends at the club, and we have achieved some very good things on the field over the last few years."

Cameron has recently been offered a new two-year deal by Worcestershire.
