Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara both flew past 100 runs as India surrendered just one wicket on day two of the second Test against Australia in Chennai.
Virender Sehwag was bowled for six by Peter Siddle early in the morning but since then Australia have failed to make a dent in the hosts' batting order.
Both Vijay and Pujara went into the final session on 73 runs and both easily moved past 100 in the evening.
Despite coming in at number three, Pujara was the main scorer, ending the day on 162 runs from 251 balls and scoring 26 boundaries including one six.
Vijay is on 129 off 288 and an Australian victory now looks extremely unlikely. The tourists are trailing 1-0 in the four-match series.
