MS Dhoni has said that India coach Duncan Fletcher should not be blamed for his team's recent run of poor form.
India lost their Test series against England last month and also suffered two successive defeats to Pakistan in one-day internationals.
"It's time that players take the responsibility," captain Dhoni told reporters. "Coaches are there to guide us.
"If the player has problem in technique, coach can suggest. Coach cannot go to ground.
"It will be wrong to blame the coach. The utmost responsibility lies with the players at the end of the day."
India will take on Pakistan in the final match of the one-day series in Delhi on Sunday.
