Day one of the third Test between England and the West Indies has been abandoned without a ball being bowled at Edgbaston due to rain.
The torrential weather conditions prevented the teams from emerging to the field today, despite play initially due to have started at 11am this morning.
It took almost five hours for the officials to abandon the game with the rain refusing to let up at Edgbaston for the final Test of the series, which England already wrapped up in the first two Tests.
Both teams will return to the ground tomorrow but the next few days look bleak on the weather front, with more rain forecast.
