England win second Test by nine wickets, claim series victory over West Indies

England win second Test by nine wickets after four days of play and clinch the series with one clash left to play.

England have clinched the series against West Indies following a second Test victory at Trent Bridge today.

The home side needed 108 runs to win the series after dismissing West Indies on 165 in their second innings.

James Anderson and Tim Bresnan were the heroes on the field today, taking seven wickets between them before England returned to the crease to hammer home victory.

Andrew Strauss continued his impressive form with the bat, but was taken out by the visitors on 45, while Alistair Cook racked up 43 runs not-out for the Test side.

England will compete in the third and final Test of the series at Edgbaston.
