Graeme Swann insists that he would accept England's decision to replace the spinner with Monty Panesar.

England spinner Graeme Swann has refuted suggestions that he feels threatened by fellow bowler Monty Panesar.

Panesar was one of the stand-out players of England's warm-up victory over the Sri Lanka Board XI after taking six wickets.

"He's bowled beautifully since he got back in, which is good, we need two spinners over here," Swann told Sky Sports News.

"I think it's quite a sad existence when people start looking over their shoulders, to be honest. If Monty's bowling better than me and he gets picked then fair play to him."

England's first Test against Sri Lanka takes place in Galle on March 26.
