England captain Andrew Strauss has attempted to distance himself from suggestions that he should step down from the captaincy.
The 35-year-old has come under criticism due to his recent poor form at the crease, but Strauss has insisted that he is only focusing on England's second Test match against Sri Lanka.
When asked if he is considering giving up the captaincy, Strauss replied: "Not at all.
"It'd be wrong for me to think about anything other than us winning this game. That's where both my emphasis and my intention is at the moment."
England will try to draw level in the series with Sri Lanka when they begin the second Test tomorrow.
