Former England coach Peter Moores believes that Andy Flower will keep his role with the national side if he is "hungry" enough.

The 45-year-old, whose contract expires at the end of the Ashes series in Australia, has so far refused to commit his future to England.

When asked on BBC Radio 5 live if Flower is the man to turn England's fortunes around, Moores said: "If he's hungry, yes. He's the same as the players, you've got to have the hunger and desire in this job, you're representing the country."

England relinquished their grip on The Ashes after losing the third Test to the Aussies in Perth by 150 runs this week.

England are 3-0 down in the series with two Tests remaining.
