New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum believes that his side's opening Test match against England was decided by "one hour of madness" after their defeat on Sunday.
Chasing a victory target of 239, the Kiwis were bowled out for just 68 after Stuart Broad took seven wickets for just 48 runs at Lord's.
McCullum, who was dismissed by Broad during both innings, was full of praise for his opponent.
"The difference between the two teams came down to that one hour of madness before lunch," McCullum told BBC Sport. "You've got to give credit where credit is due and Stuart Broad's spell of bowling was high-class.
"He swung the ball beautifully, he was able to get the odd ball to hold its line up the slope and his lengths were impeccable.
"He bowled at a reasonable pace as well and we weren't able to find out a way to get through it."
The two sides meet again in Leeds on Friday.
