Steve Harmison has said that Trevor Bayliss will prove to be a good choice as England coach.
The former Sri Lanka chief will arrive in England on Wednesday ahead of the Ashes series with Australia, which starts next month.
Former England bowler Harmison believes that Bayliss will give the English players the freedom to perform to their best.
"Trevor Bayliss will be a lot better for England going forward," Harmison told Sky Sports News.
"What I'm hearing is that he's very much 'It's your career, you've got to work it out yourself and you do it because, at the end of the day, we can't go out on the field for you'.
"That for me is refreshing and I think it's good for English cricket if that's the mentality. England have been spoon-fed for far too long now. I think it's about individuals making mistakes, learning from mistakes and getting better through that process."
The first Ashes Test begins in Cardiff on July 8.
