Former head coach Andy Flower has been named the ECB's new technical director of elite coaching.
The 45-year-old stood down in January following five years at the helm of the England cricket team - a stint that included three Ashes series victories.
However, just two months after his departure, the former Zimbabwe international has been handed another role with the organisation.
"I see this as a great opportunity for me as I start a new phase of my career," he said. "I am particularly excited about the chance to build and mould a leadership course which is not simply about captaincy but much more.
"This role offers me a chance to make a real contribution to the ability and character of England players and coaches in the years to come."
Flower will be based at the National Cricket Performance Centre in Loughborough.
