Sam Billings replaces Craig Kieswetter in England's provisional World Cup squad

Kent wicketkeeper-batsman Sam Billings replaces Craig Kieswetter in England's 30-man provisional squad for next year's World Cup.

Kent wicketkeeper-batsman Sam Billings will replace Craig Kieswetter in England's provisional World Cup squad.

The 23-year-old has entered the 30-man party after Kieswetter was deemed unfit to feature in the tournament due to an eye injury.

Back in July, the Somerset wicketkeeper broke his nose and suffered damage to his eye socket and cheekbone when a ball hit him through his helmet grille while batting against Northants.

The World Cup, which takes place in Australia and New Zealand, gets underway in February.
