England all-rounder Ben Stokes has praised the appointment of Chris Silverwood as head coach, telling Sports Mole that he has done a "great job" in his first two months in the role.
The 44-year-old joined the England setup as bowling coach last year, having previously been in charge of Essex, before succeeding Trevor Bayliss in the top job in October.
"He's been a part of the team for two years as bowling coach before he got the job, he knows what the environment is like in the team, he knows what works best," Stokes told Sports Mole at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards.
"In terms of him fitting into a new role, he's done a great job. He's got good experience from being head coach at county level and I think he's just going to bring what he did for Essex into the England setup as well."
England are currently preparing for a tour of South Africa over the festive period.
